Let's face it, school isn't the best learning environment. Although teachers try to make it ideal, it is hard to focus when there are hundreds of things around us and we are getting information crammed into our minds. There are ways that a teacher can help, like these for example; however, we as students need to figure out how we learn to get the best out of our school experience.
One way we can do this is by figuring out what type of learning we are. There are three types: visual, auditory, and kinetic experimental. Once you know what you are, you can try and fit the lesson to yourself. If a person was auditory, listening to the teacher would work. If he or she was visual, then he or she could take notes or draw pictures to go along with the lesson to look at later. If he or she was kinetic experimental, then he or she could make a project to help them learn it. No matter what style we are, we can always figure out a way to help ourselves. Here is a website for more ideas on how to learn for each style. What style do you think you are? Do you think you could learn better and retain more knowledge using these methods?
